I recovered my gamertag on a friends xbox. Then I got back on mine and played a few games and got a couple hundred acheivement points. All the while, I was not connected to xbox live, but I was signed into my name. The when I reconnected to live through my xbox, I had to re-recover my gamertag. When I did I lost all the achievements I acquired while not on live. I understand I probably can't get them back. My main worry is that most of the achievements I got for fable 3 were given by completing quests throughout the game. So if I wanted to get them again I would have to start over and play through them again. Which I don't feel like doing. I will If I have to, but I would tater not. I have not played fable 3 through live so I'm not familiar with it, but I was wondering if I could join someone elses game and do the quests again through that person. Would it give me the achievements?
Thanks for your help.

You can retrieve an Xbox LIVE gamertag that was removed from your Xbox 360 console by downloading that gamertag information from the Xbox LIVE servers. You can also use this procedure to move your original Xbox or Zune account to an Xbox 360, or to move your gamertag from someone else's console.
When you recover an Xbox LIVE gamertag, all achievements and gamerscores that you received while connected to Xbox LIVE will be recovered. However, you will lose your offline achievements and gamerscores.
Notes:
If you want to take your Xbox LIVE gamertag with you to a friend's house, you should copy your gamertag to a memory unit rather than try to recover it from the Xbox LIVE servers.
You cannot get the achievements back by connecting to your game, you'll have to painfully unlock the achievements again.
