I have been charting for two complete cycles since going off the pill at the end of May. The first complete cycle that I charted (July-August), I had a 12 day luteal phase. The second cycle (august-september) was only 10 days. I thought LPs were supposed to be consistent from month to month - give or take a day.
Is this normal? Should I be concerned about this? Does anyone else experience this?

Your body may still be trying to regulate after the pill. Some women come off it and are lucky, others aren't so lucky. It may take some time for your body to normal out, but I'm not talking years. It also may take a few cycles of charting before knowing exactly what's going on with your cycle, and the bc may be adding to the confusion. Keep charting, soon you will notice a pattern. LP's normally are very consistent, but occasionally they can be a day shorter or longer. It happens and it's normal. My LP is normally 12 days, and last month it was 11. You will find an average for your LP. If it's sometimes 14, sometimes 12, you can guess your average as 13. Keep charting and it will become more clear for you. Good luck to you in your TTC journey. Lots of baby dust being sent your way :)

It takes at least six months after coming off the Birth Control Pill for a woman's body to heal. During this transitional time she may experience any of the following:
anovulatory cycles (not ovulating)
continuous discharge
spotting
variable return of peak mucus
shortened pre and post-ovulatory phases
early ovulation
These situations are a result of fluctuating levels of hormones during the recovery period. The recovery period is variable, with an average length of three to twelve months. As the woman's body begins to exert itself hormonally, her cycles will reflect more normal patterns.

Try to use the ovulation calendar like

to trace your cycle and find the date of ovulation - the day when you are most fertile.
