Hey, guys.
Lately, my Macbook Pro has been a gigantic pain in the *** -- randomly disconnecting from wireless networks, equally random hibernating, refusing to sleep, everything under the sun. Nothing so dreadful as the problem I've got now.
My trackpad is totally and completely unusable. Random clicking, highlighting, zooming, opening applications on its own, not at all able to be controlled. It took me twenty minutes only to battle with it to set up a mouse! With the mouse, I'm able to use the computer fairly well, but that is only if I uncheck all functions of the trackpad -- no tap to click, no scrolling, etc. If only fully disabling the trackpad was possible, I'd be all set. Trackpad tracking speed is set to the slowest setting as well, this to try and keep it from all the clicking and scrolling garbage. Still not working as smoothly (with mouse) as it should be, sometimes the cursor moves on its own/is nonresponsive. But at least it's functioning, right?
Anyway, question here is what do I do? I'm out of Apple Care and just don't have the money at the moment to have it replaced. Hardware problem, I'm going to assume -- is there a possibility that something has spilt/gotten trapped in behind the trackpad? Worth it to take out the battery and check? Any advice/input is appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

My macbook pro is doing exactly the same. I've googled it and no one seems to have an answer. Some people are suggesting that it is after an apple software upgrade and others are suggesting it's more sinister and related to the casing of the macbook Pro bending and causing the problems. Sorry i can't help you solve the problem but i thought you might be relieved to hear you're at least not the only one that's ready to pull your hair out and throw the mac through the window.
I recommend take it to the Apple keep for service. it might have been a issue with that device you hooked it up too... unsure yet that would desire to of no longer got here approximately. verify you to work out in the adventure that your Mac is as much as this component. yet make an appointment just to determine.... I also have a similar MacBook professional you have yet now and back I would desire to close it and reopen to get the curse back while i'm working many apps..
ive googled it and found out that sometimes with wear and tear the battery will push against the trackpad causing these issues, they replaced the battery and i think that fixes it. my trackpad has also been acting wacky i do have a 2 yr warrantee with best buy but havent taken it to get looked at because everytime i am about to it seems to be working fine! Drives me insane when it does it though. also it acts funny if theres any lotion or condensation on my fingers so keep it dry as possible
Look I don't have any idea what the problem is with it but just ask apple what's wrong you never know, it could be just something you pressed hope this help
