my computer wont restart?
I just had a new hard drive installed on my laptop and everything is fine except for when im doing updates and stuff its asking to restart and then i do... all it shows is my background and nothing else.. the desktop is gone just the background... and it just sits there.. an suggestions??

Sounds like your shell settings were changed most likely by spyware or a virus, try downloading malwarebytes or hijack This from Download.com.
You can also try to Alt, Ctrl, Del and click new tast under Applications Tab, type Explorer.exe, if it doesn't work then reboot your computer and hold your F8 key to go into Safe Mode, see if you can at least get into Safe Mode, from there you can do a System Restore.
