I don't know anything about terrible screens, I don't have any problems with my DS lite nor have I ever encounter more than one person who had an issue with more than one pixel dying. (On an LCD screen you're GOING to have dead pixels, it's just how they work PSP has the same issue) Generally speaking though the best way to prevent anything from happening to your screen is to put a screen protector over it, these come in different types from thin plastic films that stick to the screen to full cases that hold the entire DS.
Nintendo has a really good track record with reliable systems, not to mention the one year warranty they provide out of box for free so you should be safe from any screen defects when buying a new DS. Just take good care of the system.
thats just a myth the nintendo ds lite screens are very durable if you use them correctly but if you use them harshly they wont last long both kinds of nintendo ds's are durable so i wouldnt really belive that
i got a white ds lite (although i wanted a bolack one) and it still is fine and working properly if i were you i wouldnt belive that and have fun with the ds
ive never heard that, so i dont know if its true, instead of buying a DS you should but a DS lite, they are much better, brighter screen. all that stuff.. sorry that i wasnt much help.
