Omg pre- algebra please help?
Today is my first day im in 7th grade learning 8th grade math i have never been adv before so im soo lost
How do you add or subract factions with negatice number its super hard for me and everyone knows it.
heres a sample help me work through it
1/12+-7/12 also how do you do it with mixed numbers anything help is appreciated thanks.

1/12 + a negative number means you are subtracting ...1/12 - 7/12 ...
1-7 = -6
so -6/12 -- simplified (-1/2)
Adding a negative is the same as subtracting. So your example is the same as:
(1/12) - (7/12)
With mixed numbers convert them to simply fractions first, then add, subtract, multiply, etc.
Example: 3 and 1/2 is the same as 7/2
