I am 18 years old and not sexually active. I have been sick for about 3 days, with a fever, cough, cold etc. Every time I get sick I get white ulcer-like bumps inside of my vagina, and it makes my labia minora swell up. It is extremely painful to the point where it hurts to cough, blow my nose, and even walk. I used to self-diagnose wrong and assume it was a yeast infection and use monistat, only to make it worse. I have came to the conclusion that it isn't a yeast infection. I want serious answers, and I know I should see a doctor, but that's not the answer I'm looking for. Also, if this happens to anyone else when they get sick let me know what you did for it.

I hate to say it, but it sounds like the gift that keeps on giving; genital herpes. I would head out to see your gyno ASAP.
That sounds excruciatingly painful.
Honestly, I have never heard of such, and generally open, painful sores, and swelling inside the vagina points to an infection.
I wouldn't necessarily rule out a yeast infection yet, or an allergy to monistat, which could have made it worse.
Unfortunately, it could also be a strain of herpes, which would co-inside with the flu like symptoms. After all, a cold sore is caused by the herpes virus.
Unfortunately, I am only guessing, only a doctor can tell you what it actually is. If it is that painful, you really should see a doctor, I know it isn't the answer you want, but your issue sounds serious. Definitely not something to wait on.
Good luck and feel better.
