Pre-black friday sales????
Are online Pre-Black Friday sales just as good as it would be online on the actual Black Friday? Sorry if this sounds stupid, I haven't really shopped online much before.
Stores like forever21 or h&m and the such have already started their offers. My mom says most of the stuff will have ran out by the actual day, so it'll be too late to order then. We are definitely not venturing outside, so we're only doing online.
Care to share some personal experience? And do online makeup have big sales (like ELF) too?

I have been "black friday" shopping for quite a few years now and for awhile I ALWAYS went to the stores and never really bothered with the online shopping. I ended up moving and now end up doing most of my shopping online instead of in the store. It's really hard to say when the best deals are because it differes from store to store. I have had conversations regarding black friday with friends and family and in a lot of cases we have found that some of the sales actually get better the closer to the holidays it gets. (However, if you're shopping online, that's not always the safest bet because something could delay shipping which could cause you to now get your order on time).
Your mom is right with what she said about certain stores running out of certain items. It really all depends on the items your shopping for and their popularity and of course, how good the sale is. I find that a lot of makeup sites (such as sephora) have very high sellout rates. I remember their site crashing last year (and stila's) which was a hassle and most of the items that I was trying to get on sephora were sold out by the time I got on their page. Sometimes if you check out other sites around the internet (or just hit up a search engine) you can find a lot of lesser known online stores that have good sales as well and just less advertising. I believe ELF often does a black friday sale but haven't found any announcements on it yet.

I think that yes, there are many sales before Black Friday, yes there are sales during Black Friday, and YES there are sales after Black Friday.. BUT, sometimes you will strike an additional deal or two on the actual day, but it shouldn't do much harm to shop the day before or the day after. Nothing really will change ONLINE.. In the stores however it will be much different.
