Okay well I have an old toshiba laptop and my brother was using it and split about two quarters(as in the coin) size drops on the keyboard. When that happened it showed a black screen and turned off. We immediately cleaned the liquid that was showing and tried to get inside the keys a little. I let it rest for a few days without the charger and had my mom clean the inside(she's very good with electronics). Then we inserted the charger and it turned on. But it would only turn on when it wanted to, like say i clicked power and it wouldn't turn on then I tried later that day and it did. Then my mom took the keyboard off the laptop and saw some of the juice still there she cleaned it off and then put the keyboard back. Now it won't even turn on.
P.S the charger cord light shows green and the battery turns green if you charge it with the battery for awhile.
Do you think it shorted out or the liquid got to it?

Save yourself from hassle and further heartache hoping it will magically fix itself. Liquid can really mess up electronic components. Take them to qualified technician to sort if it still possible to fix.
Electronics are weird. they get screwed up with the smallest bit of moisture. if it was a cold drink, check on the opposing side of all components the liquid touched. there may be condensate on the other side. Also, check for rust, or corrosion.
Good luck!
