I went to Bella Italia pizza restaurant and saw at their menu TWO vegetarians’ meals symbols.
One was the normal (V) and the other one was( V*), when I asked about it they say the V marked meals are for vegetarians but the V* means there is no meat or fish in the pizza, but the cheese could include rennet taken from calf stomach.
I later went to another pizza shop and asked him about vegetarian pizza and he say he got one, when I asked about the rennet whether taken from animal or bacterial he got amazed and didn’t know what I was talking about and said I only know the cheese comes from cow’s milk!
Does that mean vegetarian in UK are eating pizza made with cheese with animal extract without their knowledge?!!!
Update:all of you missed my point. the rennet is not a problem, because it can be taken from bacteria also which suits the vegatrians.

rennet is in a lot of cheese all over the world. also there is pus and blood in milk.
i am glad you are making this discovery, because if you do not eat meat for ethical resons, maybe you will give up cheese too.
plus, you live in the uk, they have so many more cheese alternatives that are better than the usa! i'm jealous!!
look at this website if you want to know more about milk

if you want to know about the pus in milk:

A lot of vegetarians and most omnivores don't even know what rennet is and will give you something calling it vegetarian when it actually has rennet in it. Once I asked to see the package of cheese they use so I could see the ingredients myself... and there was rennet. This was at my local pizzeria which I had been eating from for years until I learned about the possibility of my cheese being non-vegetarian.
It's quite possible. Some cheese has rennet..
Blood and pus in milk? That would be inaccurate. Any small amounts would be filtered out. Nice try though.
lil d--Rense is like a small time Mercola. All 3 of your sites just propaganda. What's with the first 2? Who's hobby sites are those?
Wolf--your question is understood and answered. Some cheese has rennet, as I said, and some doesn't. Not all vegetarian pizzas in the U.K. will have rennet., thus "it's quite possible" "vegetarian in UK are eating pizza made with cheese with animal extract without their knowledge?!!!..
Sorry to say, but very few people know what rennet is and probably most cheese is make with it.
