drink ice cold water, it will help u loose weight because the water is so cold and your body needs to warm it up, results in burning calories! just keep living and eating normally and just drink a lot of cold water.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
There is a great way I found out by taking a kickboxing class. You lye on your back , lift your legs up and bend them at the knees so your body is bent like sitting in a chair but lying on your back. Lay your arms out flat open with your palms down to stabilize you. take your legs only and bend them toward the side and try to come close to the ground, Do this on each side but keep your back flat on the ground. You should feel it on your sides and lower stomach. Hold in your stomach and keep your lower back flat. This works great. I felt it the next day and wow what a difference.
Good Luck!
That area is notoriously hard to work on. You can try side bends but monitor it closely, as this can actually make love handles larger if you buff up the muscle. It's probably doesn't look nearly as bad as you think though.
You might need to start doing exercises that concentrate on the abdomen if you aren't already. For instance, situps and crunches.
