Hi! So my school play this year is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory JR. and I was assigned the role of Oompa Loompa 3. Does anyone know what my lines will be like, how much stage Ill get, if I get any solos, or any information about my part at all? If this changes anything, there are background Oompa Loompas with no limes and numbered ones with, and Im a numbered one. Also, my script for the play is the one on http://www.halleonard.com/broadwayjr/willyWonkaJr....

I did this exact play (same script) a couple years ago. Expect a fair amount of choreography and singing for your part. The traditional "Oompa Loompa doo-pa-dee-doo" will be mostly what you do. Do you remember in the movie when the oompa loompas shout out quick lines during the song? That's probably what the difference is. How often you are onstage will depend on your director. You might be offstage a good deal, or you could be working in the background while the main characters are speaking.
My guess is that you will be silently "working" in the back or be offstage for most of the play. Then, when the songs come along, you will move up and take command of the stage with the other oompa loompas. Your part won't vary too much from the other oompa loompas, but you'll have some sort of solo line in a song (your director probably knows that you'll be able to speak loudly and clearly enough for all to hear).
Hope that helped! Break a leg!
I did this play last summer and played Augustus Gloop. You won't have any lines. Only singing solos.
