I will just be using it for email, FB, MySpace....stuff like that. Is it worth the $329.99 that Best Buy has it for?

sure, not bad at all, is it a 64 bit version? if so make sure it has at least 4 gigs of RAM so it will run smoothly. if it is just a 32 bit, which is all you need, you can get away with as little as one gig. also, the processor is important ask them what the processor speed is, anything under 2.0 is not good. hard drive space isn't really important at all.
I've had Compaq PC's forever, in fact the one I'm on now is from 2001 and still workin. Check the HD size and the processor speed and if it's that low a price, if it's a current model, discontinued or what, then if you have at least 1 or 2 gigs in processor you'll be OK even for download applications.
I agree with Cunning. I have Vista on a laptop and dumped it to go back to XP.
I don't personally like Compaq or HP. That company has some of the worst hardware failure rates out there. Asus is generally where I go for a decent price vs. performance machine. Best Buy carries those too.
hi, I certainly have a presario cq61-310sa and the quantity of stuff i do, the ram has held it jointly. purely 2gb ram ive have been given. So what im asserting is attempt it out and dont waste money yet once you elect it then get it
Couldn't tell you.
There are literally THOUSANDS of different models of laptop that go by the "Presario" name. Without knowing the model number, we can't tell you anything.
