I have a Murray tractor with the 14hp briggs motor and it wont start. the ignition went out so i was starting it by crossing the two studs on the soleniods. i went to go start it and that wouldnt work. i pulled the whole wiring harness and cleaned everything and still no spark anywhere i tried jumping the battery and its brand new. what could be wrong??Update:the soleniod is brand new too.. Does it turn over and not start? or just not turn over?The seat-safety-switch cuts the ignition. The blade engage lever has a switch that shuts off the starter (that's the one that fails on mine) the clutch pedal has a starter cut out switch also. If with direct power it doesn't turn the starter needs a look-see.
