I think you should sit him down and ask him "What is bothering you? What can I do to help you?" Let him know you are there to support and love him, and will do anything to help him overcome whatever is bothering him. If you haven't already, or they aren't aware, let his parents know that there is something going on with their son. It's the right thing to do, to get his parents involved, even if he doesn't want them to be, because it could ultimately save his life. I hope the best for you and your boyfriend!
Well if you have been with him for some time now I'm sure you might be able to get him to open up to you if you try and ask him why he feels this way also read him this it could help allot....
In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect,
whole and complete, and yet life is ever changing.
There is no beginning and no end,
only a constant cycling and recycling
of substance and experiences.
Life is never stuck or static or stale,
for each moment is ever new and fresh.
I am one with the very Power that created me and this Power
has given me the power to create my own circumstances.
I rejoice in the knowledge that I have the power
of my own mind to use in any way I choose.
Every moment of life is a new beginning point
as we move from the old. This moment is a new point
of beginning for me right here and right now.
All is well in my world.
Well, first of all, you probably shouldn't be snooping around in his stuff, especially social network wise and everything. If he's depressed already, don't make him even more by invading his privacy and making him feel like even his girlfriends out to get him!
Talk to him about it and inform his parents. In the meantime, call the national suicide prevention hotline. They can offer professional help and advice instantly.
Talk to him honey. He's your boyfriend, I'm guessing you love him, and I'm guessing you want to save his life? Get him help if necessary, a consular, any adult that could help him. I used to be depressed then I got help and I'm in recovery, he needs help!
Talk to him about it. I would personally dump him because suicide is a horrible thing that people who are weak and scared do.
Find out what is bothering him and fix it.
