I used Palmer's Coco Butter Formula for stretchmarks since I was 2 months pregnant. I only used it on my stomach. When I was around 37 weeks (I had her at 38 weeks) a few began to show up on my hips. When I started breastfeeding I got some on my boobs when the milk came in. Thats about it. I am 4 months postpartum and they have faded quite a bit.
Mine started at 6 or 7 months and they were everywhere. From the bottom of my belly to right above my belly button. They were are on my hips, my rear, my legs, my boobs, well everywhere. Use something strong from the beginning if you are pron for stretch marks. I used coco butter every day twice a day and it did nothing. I have heard that vitamin E oil works the best. Or this new stuff called bio oil. i have not tried either of them. I have tried Mederma and it works as long as you use it.
I thought I was lucky and had gotten through pregnancy without any, but low and behold at 36 weeks they just appeared! Mine were on my lower belly around my belly button area and a few on my hips.
I spent the whole pregnancy moisturising etc, but I guess if you are going to get them, then you are going to get them :(
When the belly and hips start growing and the skin starts stretching, the marks appear. Usually they are on the hips, and lower belly, oh, and sorry, on the boobs too. It's ok, it's just part of life. Use stretch mark cream and enjoy the baby.
Its different for everyone. With baby #1 I got them in the third trimester on the lower part of my stomach and my hips and then they faded. Baby #2 gave me stretch marks on my upper belly and they have never gone away since and it has been 2 years.
I am 13 weeks pregnant with my first, I was absolutely SHOCKED when I looked in the mirror at 11 weeks and saw what looked like claw marks going from my belt line to my belly button! I couldn't believe I already had gotten them! I showed everyone, my grandma, my aunt and my mom...they all said they couldn't believe I got them so early but that the whole family got them and our skin is prone to them! I guess its different for everyone, even at 11 weeks!
my skin was not stretchy at all and i got stretch marks from just above my belly button right down to my vagina all the way across as well. my daughter done a great job haha but it is different for everyone i guess
i got them at 30 weeks started off as a little tiny one im now 40 weeks and 6 days and covered in them lol. looks like i have a map of them on my stomach and top of my legs but some people dont even get them use baby oil every day but i dont think it will prevent them just may help
It depends I got them at the very end and scratching them doesn't help it makes it worst and i found that if you use strivecten SD helps alot instead of coco butter stuff. look it up on ebay it cost about $100 per tube i think!! but it works!! congrats on the baby!
stretch marks are hereditery , so if you're mom doesn't have them it's not likely you're going to get them unless you overeat. Otherwise there is no way to tell when they're going to pop up
