If we were ATTRACTED to lights in the US then why would you put them all over vehicles that you have to get out of the WAY OF? I think people from your corner of the World are total morons, since you are a representation of them. Then again I don't know how you get they are bombarded with lights. They have a light bar on the roof(fire trucks and police, the ambulance is on the roof of the front part) to draw more attention and get noticed WITHOUT having to use the siren. Do you have a better solution? How about for the ambulance where a siren is usually hard on the patient.

It’s not only USA emergency vehicles, every emergency vehicle has lights to make people aware and give way so that the emergency situation can be attended at the earliest.
