I've personally never heard anyone say that...one has nothing to do with the other, and neither should be illegal...
I've more often heard the (stupid) argument that if gay marriage was legalized (in general) that next would be marriage to animals, children, etc...(creatures/people not capable of giving informed consent)...
I've never heard that. Some ignorant people are against interracial marriage, as well as gay marriage, but you cannot "ban" a man and a woman who have different skin color who want to get married. That makes no sense. Marriage has always been between "a man and a woman". Was there another definition that I am not aware of?
As for gay marriage, that is something entirely different that interracial marriage. It is a legal issue, as of right now at least. Issues with interracial marriage is simply an opinion. Maybe you should check the sources where you got that idea from, it's not logical.
The question isn't whether it's good to ban interracial marriage - of course it isn't - but whether the thinking that makes people want to ban gay marriage is appreciably different from the sort of thinking that made people think that banning interracial marriage was a good idea. In both cases, opponentss have made arguments using religion and appeals to people's fears that removing legal barriers to these marriages will spell disaster for the institution of marriage and perhaps plunge the country into a state of general depravity.
While I don't believe with this philosophy, a lot of people say that while you can change your sexual orientation, you can't change your skin tone. Personally I believe they are both constants that we have no control over in life. I think this question is referencing that gay is the "new black" We don't ban interracial marriage because it has already been banned in our past history and is now a constitutional right that we can marriage whoever....unless they are the same gender.
Why not ban any marriage between any two people who are in any way incompatible? There should be a government mandated 100 question test that the couple needs to pass, along with a complete physical and criminal background check and personal background check.
Then the government gets to decide who can and cannot get married. The parties involved will be notified within six months.
WHO cares love is love no matter how you spin it! I am indian and engaged to a Caucasian male. I don't care and am in love. Some of my best friends are gay and love each other. Why shouldn't they be allowed to love each other either? How is the love between a man and woman any different then a woman and woman or man and man? They still are two individuals who have a mutual feeling towards each other. And interracial dating, makes some of the pretties babies. And as for the bible? It was written 2000 years ago and unless you or I was there then who knows what's fact or not. God accepts everyone doesn't he? Take your bible and shove it! Everyone is equal and should have equal rights. Man and man, woman and woman, man and woman, white and black, black and white, brown and yellow lol. Doesn't matter. If you don't experience outside your culture or sex you might be missing out on your true love/ soul mate.
Love does not limit itself. If a white gay man wants to marry a hispanic gay man, let them do it! I support gay marriage AND I see nothing wrong with interracial marriage.
No reason to ban interracial marriage as long as one is male and one is female - that's a normal traditional marriage (just happens to be different races married together).
That's a common tactic used by feminists and gay rights activists. When they've run out of points to debate, they use race because it's such an emotional subject. I'm by no means against gay or women's rights, but these 2 groups play the race card more than Al Sharpton.

interracial marriage has NOTHING in comon with homosexual 'marriage'
Race is a physical feature like being fat, ugly, yellow.. it has nothing to do with behavior
Homosexual acts are based ONLY on actions, like sex with animals, sex with children, robbery...
The only thing that makes a homosexual a homosexual are the acts they are engaged in.
They have nothing in common as the reason why governments imposed marriage restrictions on hetresexuals.
