I'm looking to get a used Honda Accord (possibly). I definitely want one of the latest generation so 2003 is as far back as I'm willing to go.
There's a pretty significant price difference between a 2003 Accord and a 2006 Accord. Aside from the difference in mileage, what's the difference? What's the best deal given the choices between these model years?
I prefer manual to automatic transmission all else equal.

Go to Cars.com and click on "research cars". You can pick what year and trim line you want to research. It's very informative and gives you lots of details about each trim you can get. The Accord has so many choices DX, LX, SE, EX and the list goes on. That's why there is such a price difference between models of the same year. Honda is introducing an all-new redesigned Accord for the 2008 model year.
2006 Honda Accord Models
This latest generation of the Accord will pass away this year.
If you like the body style of model the 03 will be a better price because of the age. You will have more miles on it to be sure but that should also factor into the price.
Consider the average mileage driven in your area on an annual basis and average it out per year of operation.
So a 2003 with 60,000 has actually been used less than a 06 with 25K, when averaging out miles per year.
As for the differences the 06 will have a few more adds on the upper end models such as XM radio and steering wheel audio controls but the basics of the vehicle are the same. 5 Speed Trans, 160 HP, ABS all the way around Side airbags etc.
LX will give you the most bang for your buck with all the power goodies and a decent sound system.
EX will give you the moon roof, alloy wheels, 6 disc in dash changer and available Leather interior.
Hope this helps
The 2006 Honda Accord different than the 2003 Honda Accord. The 2006 Honda Accord has much better styling.
it appears there is not a difference from 2003-2006, but there is in 2007 see the link for the Honda Headlights at a parts store online.
Depends if you are in US or UK. Here in England our Honda Accords are your Acuras and are fully loaded, there is only 3 models here the SE, S and Exec.
Depreciation is the biggest problem, I have a 2004 - 2.0 Exec with Leather, 17" factory alloys, climate control, lecky seats etc and being in europe can nip to Germany and Cruise at 130 MPH on the autostrasa if I want!
If you are in England, I am selling mine, its done 30k
i'd wait a bit and go with the new 07 accord coupe coming out. it looks WAY better than the previous generation (especially if you wanna mod it out). the models didnt change much between the 2003 and the 2006...but the newer you go, the less chances of having issues (ie. rust) is.
2006 Accord has more horsepower than 2003 Accord has as its has improve their horsepower as get bigger than old models.
Carefully to look for new generation of Accord next year
