Hello, I'm learning about the constitution in school at the moment and now I'm wondering if Common Core could be a possible violation of separation of powers between the state and federal government. Is this possible? Thanks.

Congress' spending power under Article 1, Section 8 authorizes it to spend money for the general welfare. States can either accept the federal money and comply with the conditions attached by Congress, or they can decline the money and opt out. To date, 9 states have declined to participate in Common Core to varying degrees.
I am thinking it may be, because I am hearing that they want to have the teachers input data and then have that data link up with other data systems. The whole thing reeks of making money for the Gates while putting our teachers in front of the computer instead of in front of our children all the while under the guise of setting high standards for them. We need Edward Snowden!!!! Furthermore, they are having the teachers input the data, and they will not say what they are going to do with the data... I think it is going to be sold, and that is so wrong. Please do look into it.
Sorry, that ship has sailed a long time ago. The Federal Government uses Federal money to bribe States to do what it wants.
Whenever govt infringes on the rights of the states, its as violation of the constitution - States have the right to their own laws, its why each state has its own govt.
