I need some help deciding on a side arm for my m85 double eagle air soft gun. Im deciding between two guns 1 is a Taurus PT92 it is 30 on amazon and shoots 290 fps and comes with a gel target. It is full black. The second gun is a Smith & Wesson 4504 it shoots 300 fps comes with 1 extra mag and same gel target and sells on amazon for 28 dollars. The only thing that is stopping me from buying it is its clear and I hate the way it looks so i was wondering if 10 Fps is that big of a difference

Nope, it isn't. In fact, it may be that there is NO difference. It is quite common for the variation in shots for that sort of gun to be huge: +/- 20FPS is pretty normal right out of the chute and further, the variation in air soft BB's is pretty signficant. So, it's marketing pure and simple and really makes no difference whatsoever. Buy the one you like the best and don't worry about the spec sheet.

No, not really. Especially with cheaper guns like that, a lot of companies like to "round up" or take the highest numbers from their tests so that the gun is more attractive.
no not really just go with the one that looks better. Air soft is a lot about realism and the better it looks the more fun you'll have. Also it wont make a difference until about 40fps difference.
with toys like these if the fps ratings were accurate (which they are not) you could not tell the difference, just buy the toy you like and go shoot something ans stop making your choice so stressful, they are only TOYS !!
