Get you some alpines. They do well in sealed boxes. And are very cost effective.

I gotta say, for the price those are some good *** subs. They sound awesome and not to mention your getting great visual wiht the blue LEDs and plexiglass cover. since its vented and they are 2 12" they will be pretty boomy-boomy if that makes any sense to you. the sony amplifier will prolly be a good match too. One of my friends had a durango and had 2 12" kickers and those sounded great but my other friend has a civic and has these subs and they pretty equal to that, not to mention the awesome price. Well If u are looking for a cheap system go for it, those subs are just over rated, but If u want some bad *** system and not expensive go with pioneer championship series or even the kicker cvr will get the job done and u can get em really cheap...also go for a 2 ohm sub those are better, but just to answer ur question yes they can be good and i heard they are made by rockford fosgate so they can pound hard, and it all depends what car are u going to throw them in
