My 1994 Subaru Impreza recently had a problem with it, it is a manual. i was drive it one day going down a road at 104 MPH. I wanted to slow down so i put in the clutch and applied the brake. once it was at about 70 mph i shifted it into 3rd and RPM's were about little less then 5000 with 6000 being in red zone. later there was a red light coming up so i applied clutch and shifted to 2nd but didn't release the clutch. the light went green and i was moving at about 45 so i shifted to 3rd and then put the clutch in and press the gas. when i did the car didn't move forward.
Basically every Gear even reverse is now a natural. the car wont move when in gear. i was wonder what could cause this problem

You realize the subaru gear boxes are very weak. I say you have mashed the gears. I would get a changeover transmission or reco one.
I owned a 1998 Impreza, drove it a hundred,000 miles in southern Canada and had some issues, changing an valve cover seal, and changing rear wheel bearings thrice. one hundred sixty five HP and averaged 10 l/100km or 28mpg in line with Canadian gallon. I enjoyed the automobile plenty,I replaced it with a 2008 version,a hundred and seventy HP,and over the 1st 1700 km or10,000+ miles the traditional is greater like 7.1l/100km or 32 mpg Cdn.Granted summer season in ordinary terms driving so some distance and approximately 70 to 30 % highway driving. One little bit of advice,i found out the complicated way. authorized Subaru mechanics in ordinary terms. whilst it exchange into time to alter the timing belt, an exceedingly sturdy mechanic, yet untrained to the boxer engine botched the activity,so I took it to a broker- then no next issues.
