I'm having a debate with my friend which truck is a better choice for a recent college graduate. We don't care about ford, dodge, or nissan, just these two. So if you'd just graduated college and wanted to buy one of these for your first car, which would it be? Feel free to include why, like price, reliability, fuel economy, etc. We're also pretending it would be a daily driver, be brand new, and have either extended cab or full 4 doors, doesn't matter which. Thanks

They are equals in almost every way.
I wouldn't get the 4.3L v6 Silverado with the dinosaur 4 speed transmission, but the V-8's are equally good.
I think the Silverado looks better, but that's a personal opinion.
Congrats on your recent graduation! The Silverado is an excellent option that does include an extended cab option. It's difficult to name exact features as it comes in various power levels: the 1500, 2500HD, 3500HD, and Hybrid options. If you're looking at a 1500, you'll get around 14 city/15 MPG average. The engine will be a V6 or V8, depending on trim. You'll get an excellent performance, smooth ride, and plenty of storage space. The Chevy site will give all options available and a competitive comparison. Be sure to get one out for a test drive. Best of luck in whatever you decide!

They both have really good things going for them, but I'd have to aim at the Silverado, If you were to get it with the 5.7 L V8, You'd get decent mileage, maximum reliability, and cheaper to fix if something does go wrong. It also depends what your looking for, sheer power? Also the Chevy, get the new 8.1 L Big Block V8, 350 Horsepower out of the barrel and generally easily built.
But they are both nice trucks
